Red EyeA Review by Daniel I must say that I was quite impressed with Red Eye. I really enjoyed Cillian Murphy's performance both in this movie and in Batman Begins, he's a very talented actor, an excellent bad guy. Main character's Lisa Reisert (Rachel McAdams) and Jackson Rippner (Cillian Murphy) run the show. They meet each other waiting in line for a delayed flight at an airport and later have a drink. Their conversation is quite casual, however things begin to get very interesting once they board the plane and find that their seats are right next to each other. Really I don't want to say much more than that in an effort to not spoil the suspense of the movie. Overall I'd give Red Eye 4 out of 5 stars. The acting was very well done I thought, especially Cillian Murphy's part. The camera angles and lighting used in the film are also well done. And the accompanying musical score was perfect, though I'm sad to see that the film's soundtrack does not appear to be for sale. If you like suspense thriller movies you'll love this one. I think the PG-13 rating is a good rating, this film may not be appropriate for some younger children, however the film is not overly graphic and contains very little foul language. Rating: 4 Stars |
