The Texas Chainsaw MassacreA Review by Daniel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is quite the thriller. It's loaded with a lot of intense scenes with chainsaw chases and more than enough blood and gore. This movie is definitely not appropriate for younger audiences. Prior to viewing the film, I had heard from several people that it was a very gruesome movie. Not that I don't agree with them, it was quite gory, however it could have been much worse. There are a couple of scenes that are very graphic, however for the most part it's not really too bad. However I have seen quite a few horror movies so perhaps that is why I was not as strongly effected by the graphic content as others. Overall the storyline was pretty good. The characters are a little too stupid for my taste however, no one in their right minds would do some of the things they did. And I was a little disappointing with the ending... it did come full circle and tie in with the beginning of the film however the ending seemed to have been left incomplete. Perhaps this was done on perhaps in order to allow for a possible sequel... though I hope not. If you like graphic horror movies then this is a film you'll definitely like to see. Though if you're not a fan of those or profanity then you'll want to stay away from this one. Rating: 2.5 Stars |
