InkheartA Review by Ana This is a very long, but wonderful novel about the magic of books. A girl named Maggie lives with her father, and she has an aunt who is absolutely obsessed with collecting rare books. Maggie doesn't have a mother, her father, Mo, never told her what happened to here. There is one clue, however: Mo will never read aloud from any book. It turns out that when Mo read aloud from a book, Inkheart, and Capricorn, his servant, and Dustfinger came out of the book, while Maggie's mother disappeared into it. Now Maggie and her father try to find Capricorn and hide the book from him, which takes them on many adventures. At first dustfinger tries to help Capricorn because he wants to go back in the book, but then he goes over to the other side. Many escapes, comebacks, betrayals, adventures happen throughout the book. With the characters getting separated and split up, and twists and turns to the plot, it is fairly easy to keep track, but at the same time the book is so interesting, with so many twists, that you won't know what to expect. This will keep you reading and biting your nails as you meet Maggie's mother, read out of a book, find many secrets, and learn about the joy of reading. The main idea of this book is to point out how good reading and books are. This happens with an expert from a different book from the start of every chapter. At the beginning of a chapter, there would be a small quote from a book. You would be happy if you have already read that book, and if you haven't, you'll want to. With that said, read the book and learn about the joy of reading! Author: Cornelia Funke
