Luna and ?

    Professor Dracconnesses, on the TWWN Forum, wanted me to write about Neville-Luna, so I decided to analyse the whole love life of Luna Lovegood! If I leave anything or anyone relative out, please let me know at rosa_meg@hotmail.com. Let’s kick it off with:

Luna & Harry: This is a very popular possible couple, but why? Well… Luna is a very cool and funny character and she has a very important thing in common with Harry: She lost her mother! Luna knows how it feels to lose a parent. Sure, Harry lost two and Luna knew her mother since she died when Luna was ten. Still, we can all see that Harry feels that he can talk to her because of it. Ron and Hermione have had no experience in losing someone they really love. However, Luna has. The fact that Luna and Harry share that one little thing gives them a so called “special bond”. Luna also seems extra dreamily and nice around Harry. All us girls know how we get around guys we like, but then again, Luna does have a dreamy personality. She also was dreamy under the mistletoe. This could mean: 1) She was dreaming about Harry kissing her. 2) she was dreaming of someone else kissing her. 3) she was just being dreamy as usual. Now, if she was dreaming of someone else- Who?

Luna & Ron:  The only proof here is that she talks dreamily to Ron, sings Weasley is our King, calls Ron by his full name and looks at Ron dreamily. Hmm… that’s quite a bit actually. We know that she talks dreamily to everyone; she’s just a dreamy type of person. The fact that she sings Weasley is our King could mean that she’s thinking of him constantly, but it could also just be because she’s weird. The third clue could also be for the same reasons. The fact that she looks at Ron dreamily is rather interesting though! If the “dreamy look” is the same “dreamy look” I get when I see a picture of Orlando Bloom, this could mean something. Of course, she could just be looking dreamily into the air so it looks like she’s looking at Ron. Then, to close the case, I would just like to say that Ron sees Luna as a “nutter”… If you look at each clue alone, it’s nothing there, but if you look at all of them together… Is it too much to be a coincident?

Luna & Neville: On this one I have no clues except that they have a few things in common. For instance: They are both a type of “outsiders”. Luna had no friends before she met Harry and co. Neville didn’t have any friends either. Sure, Harry, Ron, Hermione and all the other Gryffindors were all nice to him, but he didn’t really have any friends to hang around with all the time. This could bring them closer together and start a relationship. Neville is also rather nervous about Luna. He didn’t want to sit in the same compartment as her at the Hogwarts Express. Could this be because he likes her? Harry was really nervous about Cho when he liked her. However, I think Neville was more afraid than nervous. Apart from that I have nothing except that they would be a really cute and funny couple!

    I think Luna & Harry is the most likely couple here, but that is just my personal opinion. I think Harry really needs someone who knows a little how he feels to talk to. I’m still in doubt if Luna likes Ron, but I’m pretty sure he doesn’t like Luna (in a romantic way). As for Luna and Neville I don’t really know. Again, I think Neville and Ginny have a better shot together.
