A Tribute

I had a great time in Slovakia, but it's also great to be
back! I said before I left: I will continue with the topic "Choice".
But now I realize I don't know what to write about it, so I chose this topic
instead. It's not really a topic, but more of a tribute to J.K Rowling and all
her fans. I hope you all will find it enjoyable!
Harry Potter- What's so special?
What is it that keeps us all so interested in Harry Potter? Why do we get so
hooked? Is it because Harry is such a brave and noble person and it aches us to
see him go through more bad things than he- or anyone- deserves? Is it because
we like to see him grow older and older in every book? To see him go through
what every teenager does: Love, friend trouble, enemies (like Draco), school
trouble, exams, sports (losses and wins) and of course, embarrassment. It is a
life, only with some extra spice. It would not be the same without the magic,
classes, excitement, fights, battles and all those things we love to see Harry
deal with! The big question of "who dies?" keeps nagging in the back
of our heads while we read and that just makes us more hooked! And it's not only
Harry that keeps us reading. Ron's humour, courage and bravery, and Hermione's
brains, kindness and attitude give the story "that little extra". Also
to see those friends like each other more and more is a great thing to witness!
And all the other characters like Luna, Ginny, Neville, Fred, George,
Dumbledore, Mr. And Mrs. Weasley, Snape (yes, Snape!), Draco and…
Everybody(!), is in on making the books what they are- A masterpiece!
To the Fans-
Ah! The fans! There are huge fans, small fans, obsessed fans, normal fans and
not so normal fans! But where you fit in above doesn't matter, cause all fans
are fans. Some (like me) are a bit too much obsessed with Harry Potter! But I
think it's great! This is a tribute to all fans! We waited SO long for the fifth
book and without kidnapping JKR, we managed to make it through the long time of
waiting! And I can tell you I was amazed by seeing so many of you in shops, all
dressed up, just waiting to get your hands (eyes) on (in) the book! Some people
burst into tears, some jumped up and down, others just became paralyzed and
stood there, staring at the treasure lying in their hands. But I was also a bit
sad that I couldn't be there! I was here, in front of my computer, looking at
all the people having a great time. I had to wait till the morning to run into
the shop and get the book. And when I did, I got the best feeling in the world!
I was so HAPPY! But when we had all read the book, the waiting started yet again
and it's still going on… This is the time where I am so glad to have sites
like this! We can share our theories, doubts and beliefs. We can connect with
other fans and have discussions. This makes the waiting so much better- not to
mention shorter - then it would be without being able to do these things. So
therefore I thank you all! All fans around the world, for being so active in the
Harry Potter world, for making my waiting so much better! And special thanks to
Daniel, the webmaster, for keeping up this amazing site and giving me the
opportunity to write! And Thanks to everyone else, who keeps this site going!
To J.K. Rowling-
I am dedicating this to JKR. Although there's a very small chance she'll ever
see this, I'll write her a tribute too.
Dear Jo, on the behalf of myself and all other fans, I thank you! Thank you
for writing these so amazing books! But that's not all I admire you for: You had
so little when you started this, so very little. But still you managed to write.
You had so much to do and still had time to work on your dream! You worked and
worked, spent seconds, minutes, hours and years writing and writing. And when
you finally finished, you went to get published. But you got turned down more
than once. But you kept fighting for what you knew you deserved! And you got it!
You probably got more then you expected. Who could imagine the major hysteria
these books would make? I'm pretty sure you didn't! And the success you made
keeps getting bigger and bigger by every book! You have also success in your
personal life. You recently had a son, and now you're again waiting a baby. I
have to agree on what was on you're site: The first thing I worried about was
how this would influence the comings of the sixth and seventh books. But then I
felt really bad when I realized that this was a great thing for you!
Congratulations! You are now one of the richest women in the world (in many
ways) and you have taught all your fans that miracles happen- just believe!
