VoldemortistBy Nina.T.H I saw a documentary about Merlin yesterday. I don't remember what it was called, but it was about the legends of Merlin. When I watched it, something very interesting caught my eye (or mind, if you will). So I got out my notebook and started taking notes like crazy! About twelve-thirteen years before Arthur's time, there was an evil sorcerer named Voldemortist. Voldemortist tried to destroy Merlin as he saw him as a threat. He made his army by putting a spell on good people and bribing those who were already evil. But in the end, Merlin won and evidently he did this by using a paralyzing charm on Voldemortist, then fed him to a many headed beast in a lake. Then the Lady of the Lake's pet freed the good people and destroyed the evil ones. This story is rather interesting because of all the resemblance it has with
Harry Potter. "Voldemortist tried to destroy Merlin as he saw him as a
threat." "He made his army by putting a spell on good people and bribing those
who were already evil" "In the end, Merlin won and evidently he did this by using a
paralyzing charm on Voldemortist, then fed him to a many headed beast in a lake.
Then the Lady of the Lake's pet freed the good people and destroyed the evil
ones" Conclusion: Harry manages to kill Voldemort and Voldie ends up in the lake. The squid/monster pulls Voldemort into the deep and eats his body. Then the Queen Mermaid's pet frees the bewitched that's in the battle. The real Death eaters will be revealed, and they will be taken to Azkaban or the veil or whatever as long as they PAY! It's still a bit far fetched, but all the resemblances to Harry Potter just drew me in! And you never know right? Now there's only one question left: Why is Harry both Merlin and Arthur? "About twelve-thirteen years before Arthur's time, there was an evil
sorcerer named Voldemortist" I don't really believe that the Harry Potter series is going to play out like the legend of Voldemortist did, but it's always fun to look at the possibilities and likenesses to other stories/legends.
